Each kit contains a chemically treated pad measuring 33cm x 13cm upon which
the shoe is placed. The shoe is then transferred to one of 100 pieces of pressure
sensitive treated paper included in the kit, after which an image is left on the paper
for examination.
Details on the reverse allow for the officer to record important information such as
name, dob, date taken, crime reference number, offence etc.
Please note that the inking pad should always be stored correctly when not in use
otherwise it will dry out and render the kit useless.
